MEET THE CATS 1

Here you can see the cats who are looking for sponsors. They live with Jean or Brigid, two of the Welfare officers and become much loved members of their households.

Many thanks to Siamese Planet for their support of our Adoptacats

                                    CASSIE

                                   Seal Point
Cassie was 2 years old when she came in and is so nervous of people that she is unhomeable. She lives indoors quite happily with other cats and a dog,its just people she doesn't like,so she does her own thing and appears to be relatively happy doing it.Occasionally she will let you get near enough to stroke her,but only when she is in the dog's bed!Sadly Sam the dog has died and she doesn't like the new one but can usually be found in a bed with the other cats

                                       CHOCOLATE
                                     Chocolate Point
Chocolate is 4 years old and came in for rehoming. She was in urgent need of a dental and during the vet checkup prior to the operation,it was found she had quite a serious heart problem. She survived the dental and now lives permanently with Brigid. She came in with her very unoriginal name and as she'd had it for 4 years she has kept it!

                                        JOSIE

                                   Lilac Point
Josie came in as she was biting. After 2 weeks she stopped biting us but everyone who came to see her for adoption was bitten quite badly so after this happened 4 times we gave up trying to find her a home. She is now indoors with Brigid-she can be a rather unpleasant bossy boots with the other cats but seems to be slowly getting nicer to know, though she hasn't stopped biting!

                                          BLAIZE

                                   Chocolate Tortie Point
Sadly Blaize was put to sleep on 7th August-see our Old Friends page.
Blaze's owners moved to Korea leaving Blaze and 2 other Siamese to be rehomed.Blaze is 15 years old and not in the best health so has stayed with Jean-the other 2 have been rehomed

                                          BEN

                                  Blue Point Tonkinese
Ben was handed into Jean because the Cats Protection thought he was a Siamese – previously owned by a girl who put him out of the house because he was dirty(spraying)albeit she did not realise he was a full male – however the CP fixed that the day he came into care.Ben is a Blue Pointed Tonkinese – and was very uptight and cross at first – did not like humans and it took Jean and her husband about 3 months before he could be handled – all sorts of medication was tried to no avail until Jean found some calming drops that worked and he enjoyed being cuddled and stroked, so it was decided he could be rehomed – people came to visit but he was having none of it and reverted to his original state while they were there so he will be staying with Jean.

For that special occasion you could give a years sponsorship of 1 of our cats.In addition to the usual paperwork there is a gift certificate featuring the chosen cat with the recipients details and a record of the occasion.Just let Jean know the details when you send in your application
